Hey all!
The time has finally come! My new PC is finally complete. This was a completely different experience that what I'm used to when building a computer too. A couple takeaways and some pictures below.
So in terms of takeaways, I'm really glad I spent a lot of time pre-planning the loop. I spent probably a good couple weeks messing with layouts is MS Paint trying to eyeball what would work and what wouldn't.
After I got the Phanteks Enthoo 719 and the 3 radiators, I spent a lot of time making measurements to make sure things would fit. Without having some of the actual hardware though, it made it really difficult to get this 100%. Luckily, all of the measurements I took held, and I was able to make the loop work the way I wanted it too.
The next takeaway I found was the soft tubing, while forgiving, can also be harder to work with than I originally thought. I've always loved the way soft tubing looks, but there are a couple spots on the build where it seems the tubing is a little too long, or there's too much tubing. It's not causing issues, but it's something to keep in mind for future builds.
All in all, I'd say this build was the most fun I've had building a computer in a very long time, and I would most certainly do it again. I don't think I can go back to an air cooled computer for a daily driver either. If you have the extra cash for it, it's well worth the time spent having some fun trying something new!
Hope you enjoyed, and I'll catch ya in the next one!
